ANCA Glendale Strives to Create the Most Inclusive and Safe Learning Environment for Hoover HS Students

Glendale, CA – GUSD Superintendent Dr. Winfred B Robertson, Jr. together with the ANCA Glendale has recently released the following invitation to Hoover High School parents and students:
“The GUSD Board, superintendent and administration are committed to fostering physically and emotionally safe campuses for all students. The Glendale ANCA in partnership with the GUSD wants you to be involved as we strive to create the most inclusive and safe learning environment for your student.
Please accept this invitation to attend and participate on Hoover High School’s’ “Purple Ribbon” Committee. The Purple Ribbon committee is phase two of our Strategic Listening Sessions and will comprise of teacher, student, administrator, parent and civic organization stakeholders. The purpose of the Purple Ribbon committee is to build a stronger Hoover community by addressing the top five concerns that emerged from the Strategic Listening Sessions, which were school safety, communication, race and culture, relationship with the GUSD and prevention and intervention support for Hoover students.”
The first meeting was Wednesday, January 23 at 6 pm, at Hoover HS.
