The City of Glendale events commemorating Armenian Genocide

Glendale, CA – The City of Glendale presents its 2019 Armenian Genocide Commemorative Event on April 24, 2019 at 7 p.m. The event commemorates the 1.5 million lives lost during the Armenian Genocide 104 years ago and serves as a reminder to the young generation that such atrocities can be prevented in case of understanding cultural differences and finding acceptance.

The program includes special remarks by Ambassador Armen Baibourtian – Consul General of Armenia in Los Angeles and performances by the Glendale High School Choir, Zvartnots Dance Ensemble, and Jacob Armen Featuring His Band and the Glendale College Concert Singers and Homenetmen Ararat Chapter Choir, Conducted by Dr. Peter Green.

A panel discussion titled “Parallel Histories” will be held at the Downtown Central Library on April 25, 2019, at 7 p.m.
