GUSD High Schools Rank Among Nation’s Best by U.S. News & World Report

Glendale, CA – All four GUSD comprehensive high schools rank among the nation’s best once again
according to the U.S. News & World Report’s 2019 Best High Schools ranking. All four schools – Clark
Magnet, Crescenta Valley, Hoover, and Glendale High – rank in the top 25% of high schools
nationally, with Clark Magnet and Crescenta Valley High ranking in the top 3%.
According to U.S. News & World Report rankings methodology, “the highest ranked U.S. public
schools in U.S. News & World Report’s 2019 Best High Schools rankings are those whose attendees
demonstrated outstanding outcomes above expectations in math and reading state assessments,
passed a diverse array of college-level exams, and graduated in high proportions.” This year, U.S.
News & World Report revamped their rankings methodology and reviewed more than 23,000 high
schools, up from 2,700 in 2018.
