ANCA GLENDALE HOSTS RECRUITMENT EVENT WITH GLENDALE FIRE AND POLICE DEPARTMENTS

Glendale CA – On Saturday March 31st, 2018 dozens of high school and college students gathered at the Glendale Youth Center for a recruitment and information session with the Glendale Fire and Police Departments. Glendale Unified School District Board of Education member Mr. Shant Sahakian, GPD Interim Chief of Police Carl Povilaitis and Victoria Dochoghlian representing the office of Assemblymember Laura Friedman were also in attendance. ANCA Glendale Supports Renaming a Downtown Street to Artsakh Street

YASMIN K. BEERS APPOINTED GLENDALE CITY MANAGER

Glendale CA – On Tuesday, February 20th 2018, Yasmin K. Beers was appointed Glendale City Manager by Glendale City Council. Mrs. Beers moved to the United States from Iran when she was eight years old. She began her career in Glendale in 1987 working in the Library Department while she attended Hoover High School. She later went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the California State University, Northridge, followed by a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Woodbury University.
