GUSD Superintendent Released

Glendale, CA –  On January 29, the Glendale Unified School District Board of Education at their Special Board Meeting released (by a vote of 3-2) Superintendent Dr. Winfred B. Roberson, Jr. from his existing contract without cause, effective immediately, pursuant to contract paragraph 11(c), GUSD Board of Education released a statement on January 30th. According to the source, Dr. Kelly King will take on the role of Interim Superintendent while the Board of Education searches for a permanent Superintendent. Armenian schools vandalized overnight

Glendale, CA, January 29th, 3.00 PM – The Holy Martyrs Ferrahian High School and the AGBU Manoogian-Demirdjian School, in Encino and Canoga Park respectively, were vandalized overnight, in what police are calling a hate incident and a hate crime, after school officials reported Turkish flags hanging on campus, Asbarez reported today.According to the source, police have been called at both campuses and are investigating, and all precaution has been taken to ensure safety of the schools. Board of Regents has been in contact with all school principals updating them regularly.The Armenian Genocide Committee is investigating the situation.
